April showers bring May flowers and the team at Maggy Kay are desperately hoping the sun starts to make its long overdue appearance very soon.   Despite the appearance of snow here in N. Ireland last week, May is actually known as national BBQ month.  A time when we should be getting outside into the fresh air and enjoying more sunshine and hopefully a little warmth along with it.  Unfortunately, it’s also the time to start the dreaded annual garden tidy up.

I will admit that gardening is not something I relish, but I really do love to see the colours that Spring and Summer can bring to a well-tended garden.  It’s one of life’s simple pleasures to simply enjoy nature at its best and watch a dead garden come back to life.

There’s no quick fix to the basic clean up required, but do check out our gorgeous little butterfly fence hangers for a super quick and easy way to add a splash of colour to any outdoor space.   These look fabulous on walls, fences or sheds and kids will love them on outdoor playhouses.  There are 8 vibrant colours to choose from, each with a slightly varied design and a keyhole hook at the back for hanging.   Don’t delay though, these are quite literally flying off the shelves.  Check them out at in the garden section in the Homeware category and give your garden that extra pop of colour, just in time for BBQ season.

Maybe if we are really lucky the sun might join us in the garden too!
